In my opinion the most important reasons are the fallowing :
1. Improve understanding as different technologies can be used to make one understand concepts better.
2. Bring real life examples using media related technologies into the classroom to make learning more relevant and meaningful
3. Attract attention of students
4. Encourage participation and invovlement in lessons
5. Save time and effort
6. make lessons interesting, motivating and fun.

ReplyDeleteNice job with your first post. I mostly agree with #5 above, that technology can save time and effort. Still there is often a learning curve, and we as teachers must get to a certain threshold level with using the technology skillfully before it begins to "pay off", in terms of time saving, I might add.
