How important is to use technology into the classroom

Hello everybody teacher and penpals, then of read all your post I conclude saying that how important is to use technology into cle classes and the reason are very consistents and reals so I'm going to explain it.

Computer and presentation technologies are becoming an important tool for teachers to use to effectively communicate to their students.

Research is the number one reason to use the internet in education. Students have a wealth of information open to them. Often, when they are researching they don't use any book or magazine, they find everything in internet so it makes to use it 90% more than than a common book.

In my opinion the teacher has to look for new strategies in order use the information that they use, they generally copy and paste buy depend of the teacher make usuful the information; we can use graphic organizer or slides or mind map, this kind of techniques help us to make more effective the knowlegde.

  1. Hello Nori.

I like your blog very much, especially your Voki avatar. I think it's great and I'm thinking of coming up with one of myself, too :)

All the ideas you presented in your latest post are very useful and systematic. You provide some good examples how to use the Internet for web searching and communication activities. I would like to suggest two more: web creation activities and electronic portfolios.

When we look at good websites we sometimes think that a really high expertise knowledge and skills are required to design something like that. But today there are so many simple and user friendly open source and free tools for creating webs pages, wikis, podcasts and even computer games that a teacher does not really need to understand the concept of web design and html codes in order to create an interesting and rich content web page. I think a good way to create some online materials is to go through the process with our students and practice it offline first. They can do whatever their assignment is and than a teacher or students themselves can upload the product of their work onto the web page and share it with their peers or other interested audience.

Electronic portfolios might seem interesting and motivating enough. Used for collecting, organizing, evaluating and presenting students' work, they might be one of the most exciting applications of technology in the classroom. They also provide one of the best tools for assessment and tracking of the learning process. There are some good free online tools for that as well.

Looking forward to reading your following posts,
